Last week I had the honour of posing for a portrait for the talented Harvey Chan. Diguised as a day of creative banter & support, was a day I got to spend with one of my illustration idols. Harvey's new project consists of 30 portrait studies of people from his personal and professional life. Sitting in Harvey's cozy, sun filled studio I found myself face to face with 20 portraits in various stages of completion. In the beautifully painted collection, familiar faces from my own present and past surprised and delighted me. You can see the finished portrait of me, along with the others, at Harvey's upcoming show in September. I will keep you posted on the details...

SATURDAY PROJECT

Designer-brother-artist-sister-team tackle a project challenge of utmost importance - painting an awesome mural in the kids' room. The swirl & heart tree was designed by my brother for his wedding invitations. It is only appropriate that this beautiful design and the love it symbolizes would find a place in my niece's & nephew's room.
What a heartwarming way to spend a Saturday.

LITTLE RED - SCULPTED

The original series of "Little Red" illustrations and paintings have inspired many sculpted pieces. This shadow box is Little Red's biggest forest so far.

MEET ME AT OUR SECREST PLACE - SCULPTED

One of my favorite illustrations was the inspiration for a new sculpted piece entitled "Meet me at out secret place...". The shadow box is currently on display at Wall Space Gallery in Ottawa.
